Day 53: The Barn Owl

I've always loved barn owls. Like any owl they seem to have a certain wisdom about them. I love the heart-shaped frames around their faces. They almost look like dolls.

I'm not sure how many more farm animals I'm going to do, because I'm running out of different looking animals. Most of them are birds, and animals that look like horses or cows. Maybe I should try some farm equipment next?

I'm a big fan of owls, and this one is definitely unique - he is incredible! As to your question regarding farm equipment, if you end up doing a children's book, most definitely include farm equipment - to them, machinery is as fascinating as the animals!

Thanks! I'm wondering how I'd do farm equipment. The animals have no feet, but farm equipment has wheels? I know, I'm over thinking it!

This is my favorite of all. Reminds me of my childhood. I grew up in a farm and I remember being so fascinated with owls. They have an almost human face that's so different from other birds. And your drawing captures that childhood memory of mine. :)
