WIP

I'm pretty sure that I've mentioned that I created a new Facebook page. Of course I've deleted that page since then... In any case I've got a new page titled Dani Duck Illustration. I'm using it to host all of my WIP drawings. All the finals will appear here (eventually... if I ever finish them). If you want to see what things I'm working on please check it out. Here is the link: http://bit.ly/b5WWTa (shortened of course by bit.ly).

Day 126: A Sick Monster

I wasn't feeling so great today, so I decided to draw a sick monster. I think I'll name this one  Schoz. Who is under the bed you ask? Come back tomorrow to find out.

Day 125: A Little Monster

This little guy's name is nip. I had planned to do something completely different, but this little guy wanted to be drawn first. I'm done pretty early today, so hopefully this will give me time to work on my Spider and Fly illustration. Housework, don't slow me down today.

Day 124: Yellow Monster!

It's kind of a slow day today. I drew my little yellow monster. His name is Norbert. He likes to putter around and worry a lot. He's not much for doing much of anything but feeling down. He's a cute monster and I want to give him a hug to make him feel better.

Day 123: Zot

I had a busy day today. The day started with a girls day out at a bead shop and then lunch. A few chores and then I had to rush to get to a job interview. I couldn't find the power cord to my printer so that didn't work. My Mother-in-Law's computer wasn't hooked up to the downstairs printer like it should be. It didn't matter anyway because the printer didn't have any ink and wouldn't have printed anyway. I found this out after spending half an hour trying to set it up. I had to do a last minute disk burn and my husband ran out to get it printed (my hero!).

I really hope I get this job, because it's just what I'm looking for. I'm not going to go into detail about it, but cross your fingers for me. I'll just say it's a great job working with kids and it would make me very happy to work there.

My monster for today is Zot. He's a weird alien type guy with a floating head and limbs. Monsters are fun... wonder what kind I'm going to do tomorrow. I think a yellow monster!

Day 122: Monsters

I've decided that monsters are too cute, so I have to devote some time to drawing them. It would be wrong not to. This little guy's name is Ed.

Here are my toy box sketches from weeks 15-16:

Day 121: My Arch Nemesis

Everyone has an arch nemesis in their lives. For some that nemesis is a next door neighbor. Others find problems with their suitors dog, or their fiancĂ©'s cat. An arch nemesis is just there to make life difficult.

Superman had it easy with Lex Luthor -- at least in comparison to my nemesis. The Joker was a thorn in Batman's side for sure, but nothing he couldn't handle. Wonder Woman had ummmm .... the gods and stuff. Even divine are cake walks compared to my terrible arch nemesis.

My arch nemesis is evil and cunning. It lies in wait... and when I least expect it strikes. He is so sinister and twisted that even the Boogeyman cringes in fear! Any time I have a moment of peace it slices through the silence like a sharp, rusty, knife. After facing him I am left angry, frustrated and exhausted. No matter how hard I try I cannot win a battle with him.

Here is a non-finger fingerish painting of my arch nemesis. He is evil and vile, and you may not want to have small children in the room as you gaze upon his evil face. I'll warn you again about the graphic nature of this painting. This painting may ring in your memory for years to come.
